Overview

Who we are seeking:

 

HealthDrive is seeking a full-time Revenue Cycle Administrative Assistant to join our team! This full-time position working in our corporate office is responsible for daily sorting and distribution of incoming mail, obtaining Explanation of Benefits (EOB’s) from insurances that are paying the patient directly and obtaining updated mailing addresses for outgoing invoices in addition to other general administrative tasks.

 

 

We are conveniently located off Route 9 in Framingham, MA, close to Routes 90 and 495 in a spacious modern office with a workout center available right in the building.

Compensation: $17 - $20 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Open, sort and distribute the daily incoming mail to the appropriate staff in various departments.
  • Obtain the explanation of benefits from the insurance plan for payments made to the patient directly; utilize the insurance website or call the insurance plan to obtain the required documentation.
  • Contact facility and/or responsible party by email and/or by phone to obtain updated mailing address for invoices returned in the mail as undeliverable.
  • Updated patient/responsible party mailing address in the billing system and document where the updated information came from in the patient account notes.
  • Ability to meet or exceed daily productivity objectives for all assigned duties.
  • Respond to email inquiries or teams' chat messages regarding questions/issues regarding your assigned duties within 24 hours.
  • Print and mail appeal letters to insurance payers.
  • Become Website Administrator for various insurance payer websites including setting up user accounts with website access or updating user accounts.
  • Assign correspondence to designated users in lockbox document repository system.
  • Prepare weekly refund letter(s) to send with insurance refund checks, verify refund processed in billing system and note account prior to mailing refund check(s).
  • Print and mail daily paper (CMS1500 and ADA 2024) claim forms with required attachments.
  • Print, stuff and mail monthly special invoices.
  • Work professionally and cooperatively with facilities, responsible parties, insurance carriers, and all internal and external customers.
  • Assist with the development of training materials / cheat sheets for assigned duties and actively participate in training of other employees on as needed basis.
  • Other duties and tasks assigned or necessary to meet business needs/objectives.

Qualifications

Skills & Specifications:

  • Highly organized, with excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask to meet established deadlines and objectives.
  • Must be fully proficient in using Microsoft Applications, especially Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word.
  • Must have prior experience navigating insurance plan websites.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with professional demeanor and positive attitude who readily adapts to change and effectively and appropriately communicates both verbally and in writing.
  • The ability to work effectively with minimal supervision who can work well independently and, in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must be reliable with excellent attendance record
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy rules.

 

Education & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a medical and/or dental office environment with knowledge of healthcare and medical terminology.

 

Work Environment

  • Office setting, Desk/Computer/General Office Equipment. The noise level in this work environment is usually light to moderate.
