HealthDrive is seeking an enthusiastic full-time Provider Support Specialist to join our team! As a Provider Support Specialist within our Primary Care division, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our Nurse Practitioners (NPs) working in nursing home settings feel supported and equipped to deliver exceptional care to their patients. You will serve as a bridge between the NPs, the facility, and our organization, addressing their needs, and fostering a supportive environment conducive to their professional growth and well-being.

Responsibilities

 

  • Regular Check-Ins: Conduct regular check-ins with Nurse Practitioners working in nursing homes to assess their well-being, job satisfaction, and any challenges they may be facing.
  • Needs Assessment: Identify the needs of Nurse Practitioners, including clinical support, resources, training, and emotional support, and take proactive steps to address them.
  • Resource Allocation: Collaborate with internal departments to ensure that Nurse Practitioners have access to necessary resources, such as medical supplies, educational materials, and administrative support.
  • Problem Solving: Serve as a point of contact for Nurse Practitioners to express concerns, troubleshoot issues, and provide solutions to any obstacles they encounter in their roles.
  • New Hire Onboarding: coordinate and manage field training schedule. Stay in communication with the new hire throughout their first 3 weeks to ensure they are settling in.
  • Training and Development: Coordinate training sessions, workshops, and continuing education opportunities tailored to the specific needs of Nurse Practitioners in nursing home settings.
  • Policy Implementation: Facilitate the implementation of organizational policies and procedures within nursing home environments, ensuring compliance while also addressing the unique challenges faced by Nurse Practitioners in these settings.
  • Communication: Maintain open lines of communication between Nurse Practitioners, nursing home administrators, and internal stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of Nurse Practitioners, providing constructive feedback and recognizing achievements to encourage professional growth and excellence in patient care.
  • Crisis Management: Act as a support resource during crisis situations, offering guidance, empathy, and assistance in navigating challenging circumstances.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, administrators, and staff at nursing home facilities.
  • Client Needs Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of each nursing home's needs, challenges, and goals to offer appropriate services and solutions.

Education & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in psychology, human services, social work, etc. preferred.
  • Experience working in a skilled nursing facility is a major plus.

 

Work Environment

 

This role can be fully remote. To work from home, this person should have a quiet space conducive to productivity and privacy, especially concerning HIPAA.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to use office equipment such as computer, phone, fax, and copier.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. occasionally for duties related to office work.
