HealthDrive is seeking an organized full-time Payroll Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of multi-state payroll.

• Process payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payroll checks
• Calculate wages, manage deductions for taxes, benefits, garnishments, and other withholdings
• Work with third party payroll vendor software and reps as needed
• Process all payroll-related paperwork (new hires, terminations, personnel changes, direct deposit, etc.)
• Prepare and distribute payroll related reports
• Research any payroll related questions/issues in a timely manner and bring to a resolution
• Prepare monthly payroll journal entries for general ledger reporting
• Review and maintain various payroll items by state to include sick time/paid time off leave rules, overtime regulations, and local taxes
• Follow up with payroll tax inquiries and enrollments as needed
• Provide new provider education and training with expense management software (Navan preferred)
• Prepare GL reports as necessary; assist with monthly close accruals & balance sheet analysis
• Other duties and tasks may be assigned as appropriate or necessary
Skills & Specifications
• High level of honesty, integrity and ability to handle confidential payroll information
• Computer knowledge including Word, Excel and data-entry experience
• Experience with payroll software is a plus (Paychex, UKG preferred)
• General ledger experience strongly preferred
• Accuracy and attention to detail are crucial for payroll processing
• Well-organized with ability to adhere to deadlines
• Excellent communication including verbal, written and listening skills
• Basic math skills, as they relate to payroll and for calculation of paid time off
• Ability to communicate and work within a team setting with a positive attitude and willingness to assist team members
Education & Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of five years of experience with payroll processing.
• CPP certification is a plus.
Work Environment
Office setting. Desk/Computer/General office equipment. The noise level in this work environment is usually light to moderate.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to sit for long periods of time.
• Ability to use office equipment such as computer, phone, fax, and copier.
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. occasionally for duties related to office work.
