The IT Support Specialist I provides first line contact and ticket ownership for our Framingham headquarters staff, field team, and providers operating in 15+ states. Our department is integral in shaping how HealthDrive uses the software systems we create; we also are responsible for supporting 3rd party software and hardware our staff utilizes on a daily basis. Our ideal candidate will be adept at resolving both hardware/software issues and, when needed, escalating more complex requests to senior IT members.

Responsibilities

Essential duties for the role:

  • Triage tickets and resolve them in a timely manner
  • Participate in entire lifecycle for laptops, from imaging to deployment
  • Assist with staff onboarding process
  • Maintaining inventory control
  • Support departmental initiatives
  • Train and document best practices for staff
  • Basic SQL database management
  • Provide best-in-class customer service

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

  • Analytical Problem-Solving Skills – must be interested in and ready to analyze technical challenges, identifying possible causes, and advocate for solutions.
  • Must have a desire to provide superior customer service for internal and external facing customers
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills – must possess the ability to listen and relay information to audiences of varying technical levels
  • Exhibit a high level of individual initiative as well as work well within a collaborative team environment
  • Understanding of Active Directory and Windows networking management
  • Experience with Windows based laptops and desktops

Skills that make you stand out:

  • Previous experience working within a healthcare environment
  • Advanced configuration knowledge of current Windows operating systems
  • Basic to intermediate database reporting skills (ability to read and write basic T-SQL scripts)
  • Prior experience with remote management tools
  • Experience with ITSM software (FreshService, ServiceNow, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
